As part of International Women in Engineering Day, we’re shining a spotlight on women making an impact in traditionally male-dominated fields. Today, we’re proud to introduce one of our team members at London AC; an administrator and trainee estimator who’s bringing fresh energy, curiosity, and drive to our business.

Meet Hannah, who joined the London AC team in Novemeber last year. Since stepping into her role, she’s been balancing administrative responsibilities while embarking on a new journey in estimating - a crucial part of our project planning and delivery.
When asked why she chose to join London AC, Hannah reflected on the company’s values:
“I took the opportunity to work at London AC as it is a company that values quality in their work, professionalism, and teamwork, as well as caring about providing the best service that will bring comfort to their customers. This is a company that I am proud to work for.”
The transition into estimating has been a learning curve, but one Hannah embraces with enthusiasm:
“Learning a new role in estimating is challenging, but with the support of the team, it has made it feel less daunting and exciting to learn something different. I look forward to carrying on working for London AC and the skills I will continue to expand on and learn from with the support of the company.”
Working in a male-oriented industry hasn’t discouraged her, it’s motivated her:
“It just encourages me more to show the industry that anyone can succeed regardless of gender. It gives me more motivation to succeed. However, everyone I’ve worked with has been respectful and extremely supportive.”
Hannah’s interest in becoming an estimator stems from a passion for precision and planning:
“I was interested in working with numbers, finer details and being part of the planning process that helps projects succeed.”
And just for fun? Here’s something you might not guess; Hannah holds a degree in psychology, bringing a unique and thoughtful perspective to her technical work.
At London AC, we’re committed to supporting all our staff in their personal and professional growth. This Women in Engineering Day, we celebrate the determination, talent, and ambition of women like Hannah who are breaking boundaries and building the future of engineering, one estimate at a time!
